Building / Structural Reports

HouseCall offers a comprehensive visual inspection of the property alongside a detailed written report.

Our full written report (3-5 pages), outlines the present condition of all the major elements of the building, including:

  • Site
  • Sub-floor
  • Exterior
  • Roof
  • Roof-space
  • Interior
  • Services
  • Garage.

We will include an estimate of the cost of any necessary repair or maintenance work. We also obtain building consent information from Council where possible. We compare the consents issued with what we see on site, and bring any outstanding issues to your attention.

Although John is a Qualified & experienced Building contractor, we do not undertake any building work on properties that we inspect. This policy ensures that our report remains totally unbiased, as we are not looking for work.

Moisture & Drug Testing

As a part of our inspection, we will use a non-invasive moisture meter to test any high–risk areas, or areas where there are visible symptoms of weathertightness or moisture concerns.

Thermal Imaging Photography can also be arranged where appropriate, at additional cost.

Methamphetamine testing can be arranged upon request.
